About Golden Delta
Golden Delta is a free, browser-based app for analyzing practical-shooting stage videos — IPSC, USPSA, and IDPA. It syncs two cameras of the same stage run by the sound of the shots into one vertical 9:16 video with a shot timer and stage results, and compares two runs side by side with split times and a delta on every shot. Everything runs in your browser — your video never leaves the device.

Frequently asked questions
How do I sync two cameras from the same stage?
Golden Delta aligns the videos automatically by the sound of the shots. Upload both files — the offset is found on its own, with no manual measurement.
How do I compare two runs of the same stage?
Choose Compare two runs and upload one video of each run. Golden Delta syncs them by the sound of the shots and shows them side by side — with split times and a delta on every shot.
Are my videos uploaded to a server?
No. Everything is processed in your browser via WebCodecs — your video never leaves the device and is never sent anywhere.
What's the output format?
A vertical 1080×1920 (9:16) video, MP4 / H.264 — ready for Instagram, TikTok, or Reels.
Can I add a shot timer and stage results?
Yes. Golden Delta detects the shots and adds a timer, and a stage-results overlay is generated right in the app from your match export (a WinMSS .cab, e.g. from PractiScore).
What's the best free way to add a shot timer to a shooting video?
Upload your video to Golden Delta — shots are detected automatically and a running timer with every shot's time is drawn on the video. Free, no account, and the footage never leaves your device.
Does it work for USPSA and IDPA, or only IPSC?
Any practical-shooting video works: IPSC, USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge. Shot detection and camera sync don't depend on a federation's rulebook.
What do I need to get started?
A modern browser (Chrome, Edge, or Safari) and two videos of the same stage — for example, a head cam and a side view.
Analytics
Videos are processed only in your browser and are never sent anywhere — that doesn't change. To see where the app is awkward, we collect anonymized interface events (mode choice, wizard steps, errors) via PostHog with an EU server. No video, no frames, no coordinates.
